Digital Green Skills

Project ID: 617210-EPP-1-2020-1-AL-EPPKA2-CBY-WB

Duration: October 2020 – December 2022

The project

Digital Green Skills for Climate Change Adaption and Mitigation Strategies is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme and is BioLiving's fourth European project. Under the coordination of Build Green Group, an NGO from Albania, it has as partners: the association BioLiving, in Portugal; the association Asociatia Tinerilor cu Initiativa Civica, from Romania; the Association for Valuable Opportunities, from Bosnia; the association Elpidoxori, from Greece; the association Europski Klaster Alpe Adria Pannonia, from Serbia; the organization Joqeveritare Thy Udruzenje, from Kosovo; and the association Zdruzhenie za Zashtita i Unapreduvanje na Zhivotnata Sredina Eko-Logik Skopje, from Macedonia.

The consequences of climate change are a serious concern for the well-being of current and future generations and it is urgent that we all, individually and collectively, become aware of our environmental responsibilities and how we can adapt to and mitigate the effects of climate change. Thus, it is important to develop projects that encourage young people to become more actively involved in environmental issues in their communities and this project aims to do just that: promote a greener economy by training young people in digitalisation and green entrepreneurship, encouraging them to be more participative in environmental issues and create more environmentally responsible jobs.

In the scope of this project, each partner will create a digital map of the region where they work, where it will be possible to explore the most visible indicators of the effects of climate change in that region, biodiversity hot-spots, examples of ecologically sustainable businesses, local NGOs and opportunities to create green jobs/projects in the region. There will also be three cultural youth exchanges where young people from all partner countries can come together and discuss and share ideas and experiences, talk about the work developed within this project and develop new digital skills that can be very useful in their future.
