The Project

Think Green for the World, acronym GreenWorld, is a project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme and it is BioLiving's seventh European project. Under the coordination of prEUnec GmbH, a vocational education centre in Germany, its partners are Associação BioLiving, in Portugal; E-digital software, a software company, and Doganin Cocuklari Ceroki Ekolojik Yasam Ve Ingilizce Koyu Kulubu Dernegi, an NGO, in Turkey; the University of Paderborn, in Germany; and the Asociatia Share Education – Impartasim Educatie, an NGO, in Romania.

Given the current climate crisis – as a result of humans’ activities – it is extremely important that we train and raise generations of entrepreneurs from all sectors who “think green”. The 2030 strategy of the EU is a binding set of legislation to ensure that it achieves its climate and energy targets. The progression of the EU towards a low-carbon economy and the implementation of the commitments within the Paris' Agreement will be achieved if green growth is encouraged and green-minded generations are raised.

The project objectives can be divided into those directed to the youth, such as increasing their environmental literacy, creating opportunities for them to acquire and use integrated, basic, digital and language skills in their development, and ensuring active participation in political decision-making processes by strengthening critical thinking and creativity; to staff, like learning about green entrepreneurship and increasing language proficiency; and to institutions, for example, improving the educational results of young people at risk of failure due to lack of skills, trust and commitment, adopting best practices to make green perspective more effective, and fostering transnational cooperation.
